COVER DESIGN

A striking book cover is what encourages potential readers to stop and pick up (or click on) your book. It needs to captivate and entice, basically, it needs to have shelf appeal. When you see it across the room, you want to pick it up, take a closer look, flip open a few pages…

WHAT DOES THIS INCLUDE?

All cover designs include 3-5 concepts, and up to 3 rounds of revisions with 1 of those concepts. If you’re unfamiliar with the design process or vocabulary I’ll also provide you with a list of questions to consider when you’re reviewing the drafts (something that provides a bit more guidance than “which cover do you like…”).

I’ll also provide you with 3D mockups that you can use in your marketing campaigns. You may find the 3D mockups provide all you need to get started on your marketing, but if you have specific graphic needs we can always amend the details of this project as the need arises.

A Note on the DELIVERABLES

Your cover files will be provided as print-ready PDF(s) formatted to the print service of your choice, a jpg of your cover in its standard size, a jpg of your cover sized for ebook distribution, and the jpg/png files for your 3D mockups. This cost does not include the raw design files. If you would like to purchase the design files (to make edits at a later date, or have another designer work with it) please let me know at the start of the project and I will adjust my quote accordingly. If you have any questions about why this would be an increased cost, please ask; I’m always happy to discuss it.
